[1.1.3 OTB 16GB] Installer issue still not fixed (experts please read)

hey dudes and bettys!

I have still not resolved my installer issue. Here is a quick summary of what happend. I bought 5 OTB 16GB 1.1.3 iPhones, downgraded to 1.1.1 and Unlocked it using GeoHots method then upgraded back to 1.1.3 using dev. team activation. After doing all that the installer wouldnt install any 3rd party apps...nothing!

So I received a response from a member here who said this:

SSH into your phone in terminal. Assuming you're using a Mac that is. Not sure how you do it on Windows.

If you're on a Mac open terminal and type the following commands.

ssh root@<iphoneipaddress> (where iphoneipaddress is the ip of your iPhone - also enter your password - prob alpine or dottie)

cd /Applications
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app

That should work.

Now I have a windows platform and I researched to find out I have to use a program called "Putty" but my question is...would the above commands work in PUTTY as well? And most importantly would it do any good in resolving my installer issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

why all the steps if u can just use ziphone?

Yes. Run PuTTY, enter the IP address for your iPhone on the Host Name box, select 'ssh' as the Connection Type. Accept the host key, then login as 'root', password should be 'alpine'. After that, simply enter the commands. Type 'exit' to leave.

Restore them one at a time in itunes then activate/jailbreak/unlock with Zibri's tool. You'll be done in 30 mins tops.

Try this method and it should work for you. I had similar problem and used the tutorial below and Installer works like a charm.

Edit: Oh ya, you'll need to have Putty installed on your computer and SSH installed on your iPhone.
