1.1.2 OTB update to 1.1.1 only? H/W ERROR MESSED

Hi all,
Firstly a big up to all you guys hard at work on the software unlock!

I have a bit of a problem and i could use your help.
I decided upon my infinite wisdom and after reading the posts for the last few months, that i would be a good idea to try my hand at the HW unlock. Bad idea!!
Everything went well and i even managed to the case off with very minimal damage.
I read Geohots blog a good few times to farmiliarise myself with the procedure (after jailbreaking my OTB 1.1.2 in December).
I installed all the nessisary files and went through the whole ienew procedure (At which point i lost my WIFI). That was ok as i had installed terminal beforehand. After the last command "bbupdater -v" i got the could not find baseband error which i believe is quite normal.
This is where it all went wrong. The phone rebooted into recovery mode and i tried to restore 1.1.2....Nothing. 1.0.2 nothing and finally managed to get 1.1.1 loaded up.

Now the phone comes up like when i first got it Active with iTunes. I have tried reloading all of the previous firmware and it either hangs or kicks me back out with an error code (usually 1101).

The keypad has a severe delay (with the loss of BB) and the usual codes #3001... gets me in but when i go to General, about there is only 2 pieces of information. Strangely 1 of them says Firware version and is blank?

I am on the virge now of just installing 1.1.3 to try fix my brick :(
I have read through the forums for 2 days and i believe that i have tried everything possible before posting up.

P.S. please don't flame me, i have read through the forums and i cannot find the answers i need to fix it.
