Jailbreak 1.1.1 on windows

Thats from another thread i wrote up. Just had to edit it for your needs

1. Start iLiberty+
2. Goto iLiberty menu "Tools" and select "Options". A new window pops up
3. Select "Check repo at startup" and hit "OK"
4. Quit iLiberty and start it again
5. iLiberty will refresh the repo lists via Internet connection
6. Hit tab "Advanced" (on top)
7. Hit tab "Available on Repo" (on the bottom)
8. Activate (check box) "BSD Subsystem" and "Installer"
9. Hit botton "Download" (bottom right)
10. iLiberty will download the two. The tab "Local" (on the bottom) should read "Local (7)" now
11. Hit tab "Local (7)" on the bottom
12. Activate (check box) "BSD Subsystem" and "Installer"
13. Bottom tab "Selected" should read now "Selected (2)"
14. Hit top tab "Standard".
15. Activate (check box) "Jailbreak" (already activated) and "Activate" - nothing else!
16 Connect the iPhone to your PC
17. If your photo app starts, just quit it
18. If iTunes starts, don't quit it, just "park" it in the task bar. If iTunes does not start automatically, start it manually and park it in the task bar
19. In iLiberty hit the button "Go for it!"
20. iLiberty will pop up a window telling you something like "We are going to reboot device into recovery..."
21. Do what the dialog says: You have to disconnect the iPhone and then reconnect. Hit the "OK" button then.
22. Let iLiberty do it's job, text will scroll on your iPhone screen, you will end with a jailbroken, activated iPhone at 1.1.1 all needed software for the virginizing.
2.14 iTunes might popup every now and then, just drop it back to the task-bar

It seems to stop with ...booting ramdisk...

Disconnect the iPhone, count to 5 or so, reconnect it and again "Go for it".

iTunes is running, right. Just put it back to the task bar, dont quit it.

One more: at the step where the dialog pops up telling you to disconnect and then reconnect: disconnect 8you should hear a sound from windows indicating you disconnected a USB device), cout to 5 then reconnect (again windows sound). then hit ok

I will have to check with dtube, he already posted in this thread. He has another idea, working on Windows. It's 4th July so he might be online later.

Where are you now with the phone.
Do you have the phone on 1.1.1? Not jailbroken & not activated ?.

You've tried using iLiberty+ and that did not work. You tried using appsnap (jailbreakme.com) and that did not work.

The last thing I can think of is using CARNAVAL. This is my favorite tool for 1.1.1 iphone. It has been a while since I last used it. I have the complete CARNAVAL package. Let me know if you can/cannot find it. In the mean time, I will read my notes on CARNAVAL

I can easily activate and jailbreak it in 1.1.4, and downgrade the baseband works like a charm, even installing 1.1.1 works flawlessly, but after this the problems start...

I've tried iliberty both in windows and OSX...

I do get the "invalid sim card" message constantly in 1.1.1. when I start the phone, could this have anything to do with the problems I'm having? My original ATT card is broken, dont register as a Simcard att all, so I'm using my new Simcard.

Appsnap did not work, I got all the way to choosing appsnapp in iPhones safari, but then I'm kicked instantly after pressing the appsnapp link back to the activation screen, and nothing happens...

Carnaval, never heard of it, but I'm willing to give it a try, before signing this one of as a "iPhone touch iPod".... :o
