1.0.2 BSD loop error
Big Problem. My phone was previously unlocked and I wanted to upgrade to 1.1.4. However, installer had been upgraded to 3.1 so it locked/closed when trying to use virginizer.
Several steps later, using some tutorials including using Carnaval and others, which did not work, I ended up using iLiberty. This is probably where I screwed up. I did not restore using iTunes before using iLiberty and got a BSD Loop error.
I can restore using iTunes and I can get into DFU mode. It restores and verifies install in iTunes, but upon reboot, it goes right back it BSD looping error. In iTunes i press shift -restore and pick the original firmware.
Anyone with any idea on how to proceed.
Prior to screwup it had 1.0.2.c28
Now before seeing BSD loop error, it says 0x3a086c03apper
when you mean orginal firmware did you mean 1.0.2c28? if you havent tried restoring to that then now would be the time to try
Yes, the original firmware was 1.0.2.c28 which was unlocked and working fine. It might have been upgraded from 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 a long time ago, but I can't remember.
I tried restoring back to 1.0.2.c28, iTunes says it restored fine, but on reboot, it is back to BSD loop.
Don't know what to try next..... Please help
well its seems like you cant virginze since that whole installer update thing (you arnt the only one suffering from this) if i were you i would try and erase the baseband and dfu restore to 1.1.4 either that or or try and use iplus or ilberty to unlock/jailbreak a older version of installer so that you can virginize the right way
