possible to unlock without wifi?
Hello
noob here.. on a mac..
is it possible to virginize, unlock, and upgrade to FW 1.1.1 on an iphone using iFuntastic, so there is no need for a wifi connection?
fwiw, I tried iPhoneDisk, and it freezes up on my 1gig PowerPC Mac with System 10.4.10 (I did install MacFuse too)
I bought an AnySim 1.0 Unlocked iPhone. Working on Tmobile with FW 1.0.2. It works fine, but am curious about FW 1.1.1 features..

You need wifi. Install SSH and use fugu to put or get files from your phone.

ok, why?
is it not possible to move the necessary files with iFuntastic?
I already have Installer on the phone, as well as BSD subsystem, community resources, and SSH, all installed with Installer using Edge, not wifi
what does wifi do, that iFuntastic cannot?
thanks

I don't have a mac so can't really tell you what iFuntastic can or cannot do. The unlock process on 1.1.1 is still not fully automated (fully scripted) therefore you need to get to the command prompt of your phone to execute instructions. That is why you need wifi so you can ssh to the phone.
