i just got an iphone yesterday (September 29, 2007) and i tried following Mokujin21's directiong to hacking the iphone on youtube, everything was fine until we had to open itunes, i tried putting the phone in BOOT MODE then instead of the YELLOW TRIANGLE comming up i got a different diagram, it showed the IPHONE CONNECTOR and an arrow pointing to ITUNES, i assumed that meant it was in BOOT MODE so i connected it to itunes, and sure enough it said the phone WAS in boot mode, so i tried pressing SHIFT + RESTORE and adding the iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw file but in the middle of the extraction, the process stopped and said The IPHONE could not be restored ERROR (1), can any of you help me out with this? maybe if this happened to any of you, is there a way to fix it??

that is the new firmware 1.1.1, run apptapp installer after you downgrade to 1.0.2 and use the iphone as an ipod untill we get some more solutions read the downgrading threads to get an idea of the latest news

duuuude thank you so much. Do the new Iphones come with 1.1.1? because i try to "restore" (not actually but click and see what happend) and it asked if i wanted to upgrade to 1.1.1 so i dunno but there was no yellow triangle, but thank you dude i will try downgrading, keep me posted pleeeeeease
and if anyone else has a solution on how to help me get the phone to work (i need a phone my old one died) any answers are welcome
