try doing a restore? download the 1.0.2 firmware and try restoring your phone.
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw
download the file, and press home and sleep button until u get the yellow triangle, plug in your phone, open itunes, when asked to restore say no. hold shift and click the restore button on screen, select the file u downloaded above.

restore back to 1.02 (hold shift(pc) or option(mac) and click restore) choose this restore file
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw
it will not effect your unlock
you can also try a reset in setting in your iphone

it wasn't even going in recovery mode, i tried both 10 sec and 25 sec methods, 1.0.2 was saved in library>itunes, i was error (01)
Just downloaded fresh copy from link above and saved it on desktop, IT WORKED
everything is back to normal including my UK O2 SIM
