Question Please help: Is there already a tool to unlock iPhones with latest iPhone software?

    Hi there,

I purchased an new iPhone on 18.11. in Apple's store in NYK. Now I wanted to unlock it with guided instructions recently published by a Mac magazin.

I read a lot of different things about 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and so on and honestly I'm confused and afraid of breaking the phone. Can I also unlock iPhones which have been sold by Apple with the already pre-installed latest iPhone software (November 2007)?

I understood that it is not possible to downgrade the firmware if the latest version is already installed by default?

    Can somebody give advice?

    Thanks a lot
    rgds

    Tom

great help thanks.. I did for an hour already.. but all what I can find is related to 1.1.1 and phones upgraded from 1.1.1. to 1.1.2 .. but nothing specific about phones already shipped out with the latest software from and by Apple. So search by what?

Call an AT&T near you and unlock your brand new iPhone.
