PLEASE HELP!!! Stuck on last steps of 1.1.1 Jailbraking!!!
I have sucesfully completed the first 4 steps of 1.1.1 jailbraking method. Everything went as expected!
As described in step 4
1. Follow the instructions here:
NOTE: If you download Nate True's iPhone SSH kit you will need to
grab iphoneinterface.exe from his latest iBrickr release to
actually make it work.
I put iphoneinterface.exe at the same folder with ssh and ran the bat. It seems that its sucesfull, but when i run iphoneinterface.exe it says that it is not jailbroken!
I cant connect to iphone through putty and I dont know if i did this OK.
WHERE I SHOULD TYPE THESE COMMANDS????
1. Back up v1.1.1's lockdownd:
cp /usr/libexec/lockdownd /var/root/lockdownd.1.1.1
Now overwrite the iPhone's copy with your old v1.0.2 copy:
cp /var/root/lockdownd.1.0.2 /usr/libexec/lockdownd
And upload the certificate included in this distribution:
scp iPhoneActivation.pem root@[IPHONE IP]:/System/Library/Lockdown/
They refer to step 5.
I type them to iphucjailbreak and I get an "no such command "cp"
PLEASE HELP ME!!! ITS A PITTY TO STAY AT THE FINAL STEP!!!!
Can i activate with dvd johns method???
Wifi seems to be working, but when i run putty, i get a network error: connection refused message.

you need to have ssh up on the iphone and be connected to it to be able to run the "cp" commands!
Thanx for your quick answer. I am pretty anxious now!
I installed the SSH with this directions:
Step 1 - Download Nate True's iPhone SSH kit.
Step 2 - Extract that to a folder somewhere.
Step 3 - Run sshify-windows.bat and follow the instructions carefully.
Okay, Step 3 is more steps but they are laid out plainly.
Step 4 - Connect with SSH! You should be able to use an SCP client like WinSCP to put more files from the latest compiled binkit.
I did it, and it seems to be sucesfull! No errors except "not jailbroken" that complicates me.
Then I try to connect to iphone with putty and winscp (iphones wifi is on and connected with my router (checked ip from my routers page)) and i get an network connections refuse error.
What can it be???
Just posted this to another thread, try this (if you already installed sshkit them move to If you don't have access section)
For the Windows ssh install go here
READ THE STEPS!!
after you do this you should have ssh, scp access
Use Putty to test it out
If you don't have access, do this (this happened to me)
Connect iphone to your computer
get this file:
au.asn.ucc.matt.dropbear.plist and copy it to the folder where you uncompressed sshkit too
Open up a cmd window in windows
CD to the shhkit folder
run iphoneinterface in the command prompt.
now reboot your iphone
Try to ssh in with putty. should work
use winscp set to scp mode to transfer files like intstaller.app (don't forget to change the permissions on the files!!)
