I ran iBrickr 0.91 on my OTB 1.1.2 UK iPhone which was activated through O2. I wanted to jailbreak to use a TurboSim with Vodafone.
Seemed to be going ok but when it tried to get me out of recovery mode it seemed to hang. Now my iphone is repeatedly showing the Apple logo, a bunch of code and then repeating this.
From a search on the forum, I have re-booted my pc and tried to connect again as it is no longer recognised by the usb port.
I've also tried holding the sleep and home button down for 10 secs, etc, but the phone then turns off. When I turn it back on the looping starts again.
Please can someone offer some help - I'm worried it's totally bricked!

I don't think it will be bricked.

To use Vodafone all you had to do was buy a turbosim.

Put it in RESTORE mode and then RESTORE 1.12

I think you will loose what you have put on it.

I've got a TurboSim that's pre programmed. But I thought I had to jailbreak first to get ti to work.
I can't get the phone into restore mode - it won't be recognised by my pc's usb port.

Another reboot and holding the buttons seems to have worked now.

To get the Iphone in restore mode you need to hold the button down a good while .. read the unlock thread.

Are you saying you have a problem with your PC ?

I would re-install itunes than go to the device manager and DELETE the iphone.
Once you have done that, when you plug in the iphone, new hardware will be found

As far as I have understood from the tutorial the two are unrelated ... you only need to activate and jailbreak to get ssh access to the iPhone, the part about turbosim is separate as you just run the turbosim related commands on the iPhone with the commcenter up/down depending on how far you are along the tutorial. That's why the tutorial is divided into 3 sections (downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak and activate, turbosim)
