    Default Please Help!

I just bought my iphone and i was following all the steps in the ultimate sticky guide but kept on getting hung up on the itouchfree (never got past step 2 even when using the alpha file)... Anyways, to make a long story short, i thought it might be a good idea to start over from scratch and reset to factory defaults, so i told it to delete all the data and restore to factory defaults. Now it boots to the plug with the itunes logo. When i go to itunes and click on restore, it says it needs to check for updates and then pretty much the only way i can get past that is to put the 1.1.2 ver on. I dont want to do that since I thought that there is no unlock out for it yet.. HELP! How do I get 1.1.1 back on?

Might have been a better idea to name your thread something more informative to what you actually need help with. Just for next time... Also this is something that can be searched, doesnt need another thread started.

If your able to put 1.1.2 on then your able to put 1.1.1 on. What you need to do is download the fw from any number of the places listed on this forum (use search) and then in itunes, click on update while holding down the option key. This will bring up a window, point it at the 1.1.1 (or whatever you wanted to put it on) and click it. That should put it at 1.1.1
