Default Pleas HELP! - iPhone very sluggish can't do anything

The phone is very veyr sluggish, takes 10 mins to boot, 10 mins to "slide to unlock" and then the settings page takes another 5 mins to load.

Once there, I can never connect to thr wifi, actually it never shows any wireless networks.

I have tried restoring multiple times, but with no luck at all.

The phone was a virigin 1.1.1 which was downgraded to 1.0.2. I had put on anySIM 1.1 on the phone via iBrickr. Since then the phone has been like this and i can't get it fixed.

THE PHONE WAS NEVER UNLOCKED!! Please please help!

Have you tried to DFU restore to 1.1.1 and start over?
If anything, it's more than just sitting around waiting for help

Hey fr0zen, I had this on one of the iPhones I attempted to unlock.

Bottom line: I fixed this with the 10+10 trick:
    1) Hold the home and power buttons down for exactly ten seconds (use a stopwatch or watch the second hand on a clock). The screen should go blank.
    2) Release the power button but keep the home button pressed for a further 10 seconds (being exact again), then release the home button
    3) The iPhone appears "dead" now - blank screen throughout
    4) Fire up iTunes then connect the phone to the USB cable and to your computer
    5) iTunes should say it found your iPhone in recovery mode and it will offer to restore, I would restore with the 1.0.2 firmware

This "deep" restore should first do iPhone software (then verify) and then iPhone firmware (this is the baseband processor i.e. wifi/GSM etc.).

I didn't believe the comments about holding home and power for exactly 10 seconds, then 10 seconds with home button only, but it worked for me - then I started over. Good luck.
    Cheers, -= Digga =-

Another probable reason is putting the lockdownds files without Chmodding 755

Read http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...&postcount=190 and tell me if that helped.

Ps. you can always enter DFU mode and restore to 1.1.1 and start fresh again.

I have already tried DFU mode multiple times....

what i can't figure out for 100% is, if anySIM caused this or summerboard caused this.

Either way I have done a DFU restore

and i just succesfully did a baseband downgrade to 1.0.2 using ieraser method.

The phone is still very sluggish, still takes 10+ mins to boot, once its on the icon screen its fine though. I can use all the icons without a problem, but the settings screen is very slow and then i am unable to connect to wifi

p.s. i did the baseband downgrade using mobileterminal on the phone

it cant be lockdownd, cuz i downgraded to 1.0.2 and used pacay to bypass the initial screen

well i have done everything so far suggested in this thread....still no luck..

I just restored it back to 1.1.1 with the 10 sec trick...but i think the 10sec thingy is just the DFU mode. Well, now i am on 1.1.1... argh, with nothing working again

I just restored to 1.1.1 again...

after about 20 mins of bootup time i did the following on the activation screen...

"2. enter *#307# and then press call
    3. Your phone will ring itself, press answer
    4. Press hold now and your phone will start ringing again
    5. Press Dismiss and your phone will go into the contacts/dial screen
    6. Press contacts from the bottom bar and add a contact
    7. Add a contact with a random name and homepage as >> prefs://1F"

well even after getting into the wifi options i was not able to find any wireless network. Actually it seems like the screen is just frozen there...i cant do anything, and eventually after 10+mins it just times out..

I think the problem might be with wifi? or something related with wifi...what could this be?

i've noticed this problem on 2 phones that i unlocked. at first i thought it was the summerboard app but its something else.

-on second thought, it started after i installed summerboard eventhough i uninstalled it and restored 1.02 firmware.
