Default phone is stuck in rebooting mode afer upgrading to 1.1.3

    Hello Guys,

I have 1.1.2 out of box phone week 48, jailbroken.

Today I followed all the instructions on iClarified.com "How to Officially Update and Jailbreak to 1.1.3 iPhone Firmware (Installer)"

After installation of 1.1.3 was done the phone is stuck in rebooting mode.

Now my phone is loading & flashing the apple logo like a old NES game that just wont boot.

    Please help.

Well, it is a pretty usual situacion, just power down (TURN OFF) your iPhone, then turn it ON again, and it is a very, very, good chance that you will be on 1.1.3 Springboard with "Icon Wiggling Notification" .....

    I tried that.
I can shut down the phone with pressing and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
But when restart it stuck in the boot mode again, I see apple icone on black screen and after 30 sec a white flash.
    Please help

I had the same problem. I used the 1.1.3 upgrade app in Installer, and after that the phone went into the reboot loop. I think it was caused by networking problems (my iPhone could not load the firmware from apple).

Anyway, you must put the phone in recovery mode and restore it to some previous version and start over, I think. That's what I did.

    Unhappy

No, he may have the same problem as me - it seems that ziphone failed when writing the baseband leaving the phone with no bootloader

The phone just boots to a white apple logo and stops - it never enables usb so I have a bad feeling that the phone has been properly bricked.

One thought on why this might have happened is the phone was low on powere when I started...

Wink Ok, Let's try this ....

    Download DFU :

    www.send$pace.com/file/93fx93 (change $ to s)

    Extract DFU folder to C:/

Start i Tunes and connect iPhone via USB

Go to the start menu and click Run, and type the following:

    c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu

Now hit OK, this will force your iphone into DFU mode.
Now it should have a white screen.

iTunes will notify you that your iPhone is in restore ......

Use 1.1.3 (if you really think that your BASEBAND id damaged 1.1.3 will fix it)

BTW: As best of my knowledge you CAN NOT DAMAGE BOOTLOADER by any software action .....

After RESTORE ( SUCCES or FAIL) download this:

    http://zibree.blogspot.com/2008/02/ziphone.html

    Tutorial:

    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=655

    Small Guideline :

    Usage: ziphone [-u] [-a] [-j] [-i imei]

-u: Unlock (Only for 4.6 BL)
    -a: Activate
    -j: Jailbreak
-i: Change imei (Only for 4.6 BL)
    -v: Verbose boot (debug)

    On Windows

    Start run
    then enter CMD
    you will get dos screen
Select the path where you have kept the ziphone files (Example: C:\ziphone )

    to jailbreak and activate :

    type ziphone.exe -j -a

    to unlock :

    type ziphone.exe -u

To REPAIR a *DEAD* baseband (no IMEI, no ICCID, no WiFi .... ), do THIS:

Put the iphone in recovery mode (NOT DFU ! .... normal recovery mode)

    Then run:

    ziphone -u

And you will have back IMEI and WIFI.....

Hope it will work (it should ...)

yuhackman thanks for the help but actually, DFU.exe didnt work, it kept Looking for the phone, but what I did was:

    1. Connect the iphone to the computer.
    2. run DFU
    3. Press both sleep and home buttons till the apple logo disappear, then release the sleep button and keep the home button pressed "longer than 20 seconds" till you hear a beep sound.
    4. DFU failed and closed, and iTune started and recognized the iphone in recovery mode.

I hope this will solve your problem guys.
