CHANGES: Minor Bug Fixes, Beginning of Internationalization.
I'd like to thank dtube, tetsu, and mojo6911 for all the help they are giving to all users in the thread.
Thanks also to zarell for spoting the issue about the extra pause (go figure) and again to mojo6911 for giving a preliminary code patch for the problem. Thanks to Thanks to Delo for the hint on the environment variable so CARNAVAL works on non-english windows installations.
I'm sorry if I'm forgetting to thank someone that also helped. You can always remind me via PM if I did so.
Also, I'd like to apologize for not being able to give more feedback here. I'm sort of out of time right now. Hope you understand.
FUTURE WORK---->
INTERNATIONALIZATION
I'm trying to make CARNAVAL in different languages, mainly because the whole process depends a lot on the instructions.
Right now I have versions in english (orignal), portuguese, and spanish (thanks to Gandalfj).
If you want a version in your languange you can help by translating the language files that are located under the "text" CARNAVAL's subfolder.
Just pay attention to the format and to the line breaks so things don't get messy. Post your translation here in the thread. That's is gonna help in case there's more than one translation to the same language (because others will also give their opinions).
It's also nice if you can run a trial with your translation to see if everything works fine. Of course, credit for the translation will be given.
BUG FIXES:
It seems some vista users are experiencing some problems with iphuc that makes CARNAVAL Intaller.app installation to fail. I'm already looking into it.
Cheers.

I want to thank Brasuco for creating a wonderful and easy way to jailbreak and activate iphone running 1.1.1 software; and his continuing effort to make improvements / enhancements to the software package.
I just ran CARNAVAL on a brand new iphone (week 41) with 1.1.1 software and 04.01.13_G modem/baseband firmware.
- I ran it by skipping a 1st reboot. The program ran through but did not install installer.app (jailbreak and activated though)
- I ran it again, without a restore. The phone went back to the "need" to activate state.
- I ran it again after going through the *#307#. It went through fine. Every worked perfectly. Since I did not have a clean phone to start out, I did a restore of 1.1.1 via iTunes to put it back in factory condition.
- Ran CARNAVAL again, absolutely PERFECT.
I did a lot of testing by skipping steps and etc ... ALL I can say that if you have a brand new OTB 1.1.1 phone, CARNAVAL works perfectly through the jailbreak and activation process. That is its sole purpose and it does a heck of a job.
CARNAVAL will not damage your phone. It does not UNLOCK and do anything to the baseband so therefore when you do a restore, the phone is back to its original factory condition. Don't panic even if CARNAVAL give you an error. Error is usually resulted from skipping a step, or the iphone is not recognized by the computer.
To make sure CARNAVAL can communicate with your phone:
- kill ituneshelper in the task manager
- connect iphone to the cable
- start itunes
- shutdown itunes
- Run CARNAVAL (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD WIFI CONNECTION - it needs to access the internet to do the TIFF exploit)
The very first thing it will do is try to jailbreak, if you see an error here, that means it cannot see the phone. Just hit CTRL-C to terminate the batch job. run itunes and shut it down. Run CARNAVAL again.
OH, BTW - if you did a restore of the phone, just make sure you extract the CARNAVAL archive into a new folder and run it from there.
I hope this helps.

Hi guys, CARNAVAL rockS!!!! THANK YOU brasuco!!
I did all the steps and it worked like a charm, then unlocked the phone and everything work great!
but i have 1 small comment:
I think the springboard file in carnaval is not compatible with the new 1.1.1summer board, i am not able to scroll down after installation/restart, any one faced this problem and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Fad
