    please try this:

    1. shut down itunes, turn off the phone, connect it to your computer

    2. press both, sleep and home button for 10 seconds, around the 8th second the screen will turn black, still hold the two buttons and the iPhone will turn back on. When it turns on, release the sleep button but still hold the home button until you see a screen with the cable. You are now in restore-mode. DO NOT unplug the iPhone

    3. start iTunes; iTunes should report that it found an iPhone in recovery mode

let me know if it worked

If you're using windows you can also use the executable iphoneinterface.exe in the iBrickr folder. In the terminal screen enter command enterrecovery and press enter.

    - turn off iPhone
    - hold home button and connect iphone to PC
    - release home button when iPhone turns on and itunes starts ...
