    Had 1.1.2 unlocked ..working fine and all..now i had to restore so i thought i'd follow those tuts saying i gotta restore to 1.1.1 and install oktoprep again then re update ...but after restoring the firmware to 1.1.1 ..i cant seem to be able to jailbreak it through jailbreakme.com

    If you are a PC user then that tutorial is fine - If you have MAC then get Independence and follow their instructions

    The most frequent issue with jailbreak not working after a restore;

    Connect the iPhone via USB cable to your computer.
    Open iTunes
    Let iTunes see the iPhone and go to the activate your iPhone screen.

    If you do not, the jailbreak will usually fail.

    Some "stubborn" iPhones need to stay connected to iTunes, during the jailbreak.

    I have done hundreds of iPhones, and sometimes this is the *ONLY* way to jailbreak the stubborn ones.

    i had more or less the same problem. jailbreakme.com wouldnt work whatever i tried.
    So i used the carnaval method, going to jailbreak.toc2rta.com on my iphone and then plugging a usb cable in it ->started carnaval and got activated
