Default only 300Meg after doing 1.1.1 hack

Just got the 8gig version and did the 1.1.1 unlocking procedure.

when i goto the general pref i see that i only got 300meg of space and only 50meg available.

did the unlocking use up all the memory?

    Please help!!!

No. The unlock didn't make that 300MB issue. It is due to the jailbreak and activating methods.

Which method did you use? Some methods like CARNAVAL can make you fix that problem.

Really, I tested and test CARNAVAL and did not run into that problem. Do you mean, if run CARNAVAL, then you can run into that issue?.

When CARNAVAL was first released for testing. the TIFF exploit website was down. During that time, some people went to other similar sites for the exploit. Depending on the exploit code that was on that server, the symlink name could be different and that's probably why the symlink did not get removed at the end of CARNAVAL (which is: rm /var/root/Media and mv /var/root/Mediaold /var/root/Media).

    No. I'm not saying that.

I'm saying that you can FIX that issue if you run CARNAVAL. I mean after a restore with 1.1.1
