The main thing floating around this forum is obviously unlocking the OTB 1.1.2 4.6BL iPhone.

I Just want to try and get an idea of who is working or discussing what. From what I can read it looks like this :-

nevhada and 997TT have bought 999euro iPhones and are going to analyse the unlock methods. Is this right? This thread seems to be attacking the Germany unlock method to try and find a way to use this to unlock all handsets.

pspsully and others seem to be attempting to find a way to flash the bootloader to an older 3.9 version so we can use old methods that worked on 3.9 to unlock the handsets.

3. I presume the dev team are working on finding exploits in 4.6 to apply hacks and cracks to unlock the phones.

Can anyone confirm these? Thought it would be nice - maybe use this thread for people trying to hack the handsets to post summaries of what they have found.

1/ The best method would be to find out the "unlock code" (duped "the Germany approach").
2/ The second approach is something similar to AnySim software unlock (duped "the Dev Team approach")
3/ The third approach is to downgrade bootloader version to 3.9 and based on existing methods to activate and jailbreak iPhone. (duped "the IPhone hackers approach")
4/ The last approach is to bypass using hardward mods (duped "the GeoHotz approcah")

The 1st method is probably impossible as apple should sign this unlock code with a private key... so we CAN'T break that (well, at least not in this lifetime)

I really think that the first thing avaible will be the 4th approach... after that maybe the 2nd or 3th will be avaible....
