Hi
I think you don't know what you are doing so first you need to know the basis of the iphone man![]()
ADVISE: DO NOT DO ANYTHING IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
1) Entering in DFU (restore mode) on the iphone.
2) How to restore a given firmware (in this case 1.1.1 you've downloaded)
3) Activating an 1.1.1 firmware iphone.
4) Unlocking an 1.1.1 firmware would be easier for you than unlocking an 1.1.2 (i guess)
So once you know this things you could follow Wikinerd's instructions carefully.

try using idemocracy or Ibrickr. Independence is for MAC OS X only. read the serial number on the back of the phone and see 4th and the 5th number of ur serial. If is YY or 45 and above, the phone is 1.1.2 otb and cannot be unlocked using the software method. Give some info on the serial and we can help you.
