    Default Non Virgin Iphone

I have been continuing to read the site and the posts about unlocking. But still unable to find exactly what I am looking for, either that or I am looking the wrong spot.

How do you unlock a non virgin phone. A phone that has already been activated through AT&T. See I was with AT&T but decided that I no longer wanted to use their service. I wanted to go to T-Mobile. Now I am wanting to unlock my Iphone that has already been activated but no longer in use. I then want to be able to use my Iphone on my T-Mobile service plan.

So any help you can give me I would greatly appreciate it.

ATT doesn't make your phone unlocked. don't think they change alot. since the phone is -ACTIVATED- already,
make sure you are on 1.1.1 fw

what you should do is install AppSnap, then jailbreak the phone. install Anysim and stick in your Tmobile simcard, run anysim to -UNLOCK-

The firmware on the phone is 1.1.1

Can you by chance point me to the right area to look for appsnap and the anysim as well as instructions to follow so that I can make sure to do it right and not screw up the phone.

    Thanks for the help.

you won't be able to screw up your phone. just don't upgrade or downgrade.
if your IMEI is already activated with itunes then even if you hack your iphone now, in the future you can still just connect to itunes to get it unlocked. do more research. only recommending you to do this.

    1. Use wifi to visit jailbreakme.com
    2. install appsnap (installer)
    3. use installer to install anysim
    4. having the -NON-ATT- sim inside, run anysim to unlock

infact just follow any 1.1.1 guide. don't worry about it if anything goes wrong just restore it with itunes. never restore to 1.1.2

So I take it your saying here that I should put my T-mobile sim card inside the Iphone or leave my old AT&T sim card inside the iphone as I run anysim?

The way that I am reading the site that you posted I am suppose to verganize my phone. From my understanding from reading some threads on this site that is not necessary.

So there is a new problem now. I did the restore and made sure to restore with 1.1.1 that went through without a problem. I then did the Jailbreakme.com app install and that went just fine as well.

Now I am at the anysim install section and guess what problem. The iphone says that anysim can not unlock the phone and to restart the phone.

So I restart the phone and the phone then tells me to connect to itunes for activation and then does the emergency call slider and key pad.

Help whats going on now with this?
