No carrier signals on 1.1.1!
I have a virgin 1.1.1 and I used this guide to unlock and activate it.
Everything worked fine, except I can't connect to my carrier. Have also tried with several SIM-cards, but with no luck. I just get low bars in the signal area and no carrier name displays.
Any thoughts?

Same issue with me. Used touchfree to jailbreak/activate. Then used AnySIM 1.1 to unlock.
iPhone recognizes my phone number, but I can't make calls or use EDGE.
I just restored back to a fresh 1.1.1 firmware, and I'm going to try again. If anyone else is having this problem and has a solution, it would be *much* appreciated.

I noticed that after restoring back to 1.1.1 firmware... that pressing on the "Activate iPhone connect to iTunes" screen does not pop-up my IMEI and ICCID numbers like it did when I first pulled it out of the box.
Perhaps that is helpful for the iPhone hacking gurus out there?
Maybe I need to "devirginize" my phone even though I used AnySIM 1.1?

I suffer some random signal drops after 1.0.2 > virginization > 1.1.1 unlock... No ideas on that..

Found this thread: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4091
It's specifically talking about 1.02 firmware issues, but I'm going to try it out on my 1.1.1 when I get home tonight.
I'll post my results.

Ok, I found this post in one of the FAQs, and it resolved the no carrier issue for me.

Have you restarted your phone yet? If not, do it now.
