Next step on my 1.0.2 to re-unlock?
Hi All,
I've had my own 1.0.2 since the beginning of unlock i have decided to give it a update.
Here's what i've done...
Installed Revirginiser from i.unlock.no
Restored to 1.0.2
But now i'm a little confused... Guides tell you to re-activate as 1.0.2 then oktoprep 1.1.1 then update and unlock.
Now obviously i cannot do that so shall i restore to 1.1.1 and then re-unlock with anysim 1.1.1?
Thanks

You can now even upgrade to 1.1.2 for unlock.

Don't confuse me LOL!
Shall i restore to 1.1.1 and unlock as i normally would a 1.1.1?

I followed i.unlock.no and got my old 1.0.2 virginized and updated to 1.1.1 by doing the following - you already finished the first part. Now follow the steps in the section "How should i upgrade or restore my phone?", and then after the restore to 1.1.1 is complete in iTunes, follow the sections "Bypass activation and prepare phone for software installation" and "Unlock the SIM-lock" and you should be good to go, activated and unlocked.

Please confirm this. After virginising my 1.02, I can upgrade directly to 1.1.2 and then follow the instructions to bypass activation and unlock?

Just to confirm for anyone who is still on 1.02, I followed the instructions on iphone.unlock.no and they work without any problems at all. It's a painless operation that takes less than 20 mins (most of that is the restore to the 1.1.1 firmware).
There is a number of minor changes between 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 but the biggest 2 for me were:
- louder speaker volume
- Double click on the menu to get straight to my phone favorites list
I don't purchase much music on iTunes but Apple have also created an excellent version of the iTunes store for the iPod. It's far better than I expected.
Now, the big question for me is if I should go all the way and upgrade to 1.1.2?
