Hey all, im very sorry for this new post, but i could use some help. Anyway i searched the forum and to look through all posts would take a year.. So now im asking Your help.

The phone was bought 4 days ago from USA. i haven't seen it yet, but i think it is 1.1.2.

So i found this table.

It says Jailbreak, activation, turbosim, 3rd party apps are available, but no unlock. What does this mean. What is the unlock... I thought getting your sim work, would be good and if you bypass activation, You are OK. But what's this unlock thing now...

And another thing, can You people please give me the link to the best sites with the tutorials on how to do this?

And if i can't do it on 1.1.2, then can i downgrade the OTB product to 1.0.2, then unlock stuff, upgrade it to 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 as in this tutorial: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=358

Hmm, actually we were told to ignore these kind of post but i'll just repeat one more time. You can jailbreak the phone and use it like an iPod touch but you can't unlock it to use as a phone. Only way would be using turbosim. Getting pass the activation would only allows you to use it as an ipod touch. You still need 'anySIM' to use it as a phone.

My final sentence would be, you wouldn't need to take a year to read through all the post. You just need a minute or two if you've searched correctly. =)

I agree with you, HappyLee. I have been reading here and there. I think true that TurdoSIM works from what I read. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

But I agree with HappyLee that we can jailbreak and bypass activation but we should wait for the anySIM for 1.1.2.

But Cheff, I am in the same boat as you. I am waiting for my iPhone 1.1.2 BOOTLOADER_VERSION:4.6_M3S2. Maybe we can help each other? I am a newbie to this whole iPhone unlocking methods too.

Pls kindly reply if you have any new discovery or any new info to share. Thanks in advance.
