    1. wait for an unlock for 1.1.1 - anyones guess when that will be

    2. return it and look somewhere else for a 1.0.2

    3. keep it and use it legit w/ AT&T

everything i am reading says you can not downgrade back to 1.0.2, i really do not need to so i haven't done much searching on the issue but it looks like its pretty certain.

no advice other than use it to stop your papers blowing away untill a new jailbreak or activation comes out

You can check what firmware is preinstalled by going to the emergency call, entering *3001#12345#* then pressing "Call". Under Versions you will find what revision firmware is on the phone out of the box.

    03.12.06_G Is firmware 1.0.0
    03.14.08_G Is firmware 1.0.1 and 1.02
    04.01.13_G Is 1.1.1

As You cannot downgrade firmware, you sofar will not be able to restore 1.02 if you have the new 1.1.1 firmware. Trying to do so may damage the firmware and render the phone unusable as a phone even on att untill a solution is found.

If you are lucky and still have the old firmwares then you can start your unlock by restoring to 1.02 by holding shift (pc), option (mac), while clicking restore.

    1.02 firmware image:

follow this guide to unlocking it is very simple

good luck, hope we don't get to many phones with 1.1.1 before a new unlock comes out.
    I hope you are lucky

What is the build week number of your iPhone? The build week are the last
two digits of the serial number second string of numbers from the left of the
serial number. For example, if your SN was 7R736{A-Z}* then the build
    week would be 36.
