New iPhone order on Sept 24
Hi Guys,
I've just ordered 12 iPhones on Sept 21st, some refurbs and some not . They all shipped at Sept 24 and are all en-route via fedex to Hong Kong. Anyone got theirs ordered around this time? Just wondering if they have already updated the phones with 1.1.1 firmware since its so closed to today's firmware update...

yeah i ordered 2 refurbs on 21st and they came with 1.0.1
honestly its going to be a month or two before apple ships all the iphones with 1.1.1 cauz think about it? You think they are going to unshrink wrap all the iphones ready for shipment to flash update then reshrink wrap?
man that would be ALOT of labor hours wasted away.

True dat! (On the other hand, Steve Jobs is a complete control freak...)
I bet most stores will still be stocking 1.0.x iPhones for at least a week or two, maybe slightly less for the online store as they often ship direct from China.
But there's also Ebay... just ask the seller when they bought their item.

the best way is to check the firmware of each phone separetely using the code provided in this forum in other thread at the activation screen emergency numbeer diaal

I bought mine on the 26th and it shipped from china in the 27th in the morning.
Do you think it may come with the new firmware 1.1.1 ?

I went out and bought one immediately after I found out the new firmware would pushed out. Picked it up at the Apple store in Glendale, CA on Sept. 26th. It had firmware version 1.0.2.
