    Default New Firmware unlockable?

I know you probably cant answer that right away. But i saw this in a FAQ:

"Do I have to update my iPhone when the next firmware is released?" -- No. But then you're kind of sticking your iPhone into a time warp. Everything else will change but not your iPhone. And I don't see there being a parallel development effort on the part of hackers.

I dont really get what hes saying, that 3rd party apps and unlocking will be able to use in the next firmware?

No it was a pun/joke. (English is not my native langage)

I wanted to say that you don't have / are not forced to install the upgrade right now. Just wait a little. You'll miss some functionality but, you'll keep it unlocked.
