Need some guidance plz

I currently have an unlocked 1.0.2 which I unlocked using the ibrickr/anysim method..

I want to to upgrade to 1.1.1.

There are so many posts and methods of unlocking I'm a bit confused.

I have the 03.14.08_G modem firmware version.

I need to virginize my phone first.

I plan on using this method here:

I then need to restore and update my phone....

Again I plan on using this:

Once I finish with all this I'm good to go, right? I will have an unlocked 1.1.1 iphone which I can use my own sim card with. Correct?

Any advice or hints before I begin? I'm going to wait and see what kind of replys I get.

Plz, don't post "use the search" posts. I've read every sticky and have searched for various topics. So I've read up on it, I just want to make sure and double check what I plan to do is correct.

Sounds like you are ready to go. Print out your instructions and do it slowly. Take a break between each major step. Good Luck!

The instructions look good, though I used different methods to arrive at an unlocked 1.1.1 phone which was upgraded from 1.0.2 (previous iUnlocked.) My only recommendation is you download all the files necessary and walk through all the steps, just to make sure you understand completely what every step is about. This is to avoid getting stuck on a step because a file was missing. When you do start the process, just proceed carefully and not hastily.

Cool thanks guys. One other question, my pc is hooked via a router, to get my iphone's ip should I connect pc directly to cable modem? or does it not matter?

You can leave the PC connected to the (wireless) router.
