I am in Durango, Mexico. I have a 4gb iphone with fw 1.02 (1C28). I have both OS X and Vista and have used a combo of both to unlock. I used os x to uprgrade firmware and independance to activate and jailbreak. Used ibrickr to add .pxl and anysim. Also used window to use paycay. I have finally gotten the movistar service to pop up. But I still cant send or recieve calls. I can get text messages and youtube and everything else works fine. I have 5 bars of signal. I notice that when I iniciate or i am recieving a phone call my signal drops to nothing. Then as soon as the dialed or recieved call sequence is over my service goes right back to full signal. I want to regularly sync with vista so any advice on how to fix this with windows would be appreciated. Someone please help!!! I am a newbie.

Yo le haria un restore, y TODO lo haria usando MAC. No metas a Windows, es mas facil y rapido.

I tried a telcel chip and did a full restore but still nothing. Do you have your phone working? With who?

Mine is working right with movistar.
Everything works, including SMS, YouTube, Voicemail button.

I agree with "triforce" over there. If you have access to a mac then you shouldn't even bother with winblows. From what I gather most problems are coming from people who are hacking the phone with microsucks. Try doing a virgin restore. The you can use iNdependence.app to jailbreak it and installer.app to get your pxl. Into it. And if you can you should stay away from anysim.app. My brother used iunlock(reloaded?) and has his phone on movistar. Everything works. So far.....



btw. I'm just assuming you have wifi. If you do then mac, iNdependence.app, and installer.app would be the easiest way to go. Atleast for me. And I'm a noob and from what i keep reading i'd stay as far away from anysim.app as i could.

What operating system do you have?
Restore, and activate with PACAY or iNdependence.

Thanks everyone. I got the phone up and running. I used my macbook, did a virgin restore and used the unlock application and instructions on modmyiphone.com. Worked great. Only thing now is I get 15 digit text messages. If anyone knows of a fix let me know.
