My phone is unlocked and working, but can't copy music in iTunes..
Hi all,
Can't seem to find anyone else who has this problem.. I unlocked my phone last night using in Windows PC, and all went fine. Today I tried to put some tunes on my iPhone and when I go to my library and copy the files after to my iPhone, it doesn't do anything. I had an iPod Touch before this and it worked fine (I've had 2 other iPods and used this method every time which was fine). Not sure why it won't let me do this.
The only way I can get my music on is to click on my iPhone on the left side, and then click on the Music tab for it, and say "Sync these playlists.." which is a mess solution. I don't use playlists, I just copy songs on as I want.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

It sees it just fine.. I just can't drag files over, can only sync playlists. Which by the way, if I sync a playlist, when I play the music on the iPhone it plays very fast.. like 2x the speed.
Any idea whats wrong and how I can fix it?
Thanks!

For some reason this is how Apple decided that the iPhone should sync music. You have to create a playlist. No, I don't know why.

So nothing is actually wrong.. This is the way Apple intended it to be? Strange, but at least I know nothing is wrong with my iPhone/iTunes setup
Thanks for the info

what is your itunes version, must be 7.4.1 or 7.4.2

Yes, you can only Sync playlists... You cant just drag and drop the songs you want.
I just make a few playlists, the drop and drag the songs on the playlists and then sync... its pretty much the same thing, just with an extra step.

It's 7.4.2.. Does that make a difference?

I don't know why you think you can only sync playlists. As with my regular ipod I just dragged my mp3 folder in to itunes so it added it to the library and then just clicked on the sync button and everything went flying to the iphone.
You're not supposed to drag the files in to the iphone, itunes syncs the library to the phone. maybe you have the option to sync only selected songs on and that's why it's not automatically syncing them to the phone.
running itunes 7.4.1.2
