    Default Is my phone unlocked?

I am kinda worried about the bricking announcement from apple today. My iPhone is currently all stock right now after a restore, but I tried unsuccessfully to run AnySIM. I ran it a few times, each time it gave my the "bytes to patch" error and then no bars despite rebooting. Restoring the phone gave me back my cell service bars, but I am wondering if my phone is actually unlocked or if AnySIM changed files that will give me problems with the new firmware despite the fact that it never ran successfully. What do you think?

You have to virgin restore your phone to update to 1.1.1 it is a manual flashing of the baseband using original 1.02 firmware. restore does not effect the unlock, and a unlocked phone will most likelly brick when you update to 1.1.1

but the program never ran successfully, therefor I am wondering if this is necessary. How good is the relock anyway, have people confirmed it to be good/safe? Still wondering if its necessary though.

noone knows untill 1.1.1 comes out but it should be fine the error you got means your modem firmware was changed it will need a virgin restore for the cannot locate bytes to patch message

restore does not effect the modem firmware unless you are updating
