My Nightmare (iBrickr)???
I can't survive any more I spent four days trying to hack my iphone with iBrickr but it does not work....
I start heating the iphone first I activated iphone by using activating server method and I succeed ...
then when I want to hack it using iBrickr for 4days I got the Extracting files message saying: (Everything's ready to go! Please wait while we extract the necessary firmware files... ) whatever I used, the same message appear every time
I cant' also restore the iphone i did it many times by itunes and once the download is completed an error message pops up saying itunes canít restore the iphone error no (-45)
my OS is Xp and I used itunes v. 7.35 and then 7.42
So I ran into an issue last night unlocking my buddy's iPhone where after i activated it, my pc couldn't "talk" to the phone over usb except when it was in restore mode. So I decided to start over and re-activate and then unlock the phone, by restoring it. Well that didn't work much I received various errors from iTunes 1304 error code I believe. No biggie I scoured the forums, and found some helpful advice, namely I removed the existing firmware file on my hard drive ( look for a folder called iPhone Updates I believe ). Then get your phone into restore mode ( hold the home and power buttons for ~25 secs ) after this iTunes will say "hey I'm gonna try and restore/upgrade your phone, pull down a fresh copy and do it. It was on that attempt after downloading a fresh firmware file from Apple that i was able to restore, and then activate/unlock the phone. I hope this method works for you, sadly I can't help much beyond this point as this is my second iPhone unlock and I'm learning as I go along, good luck .
Can you tell us more about your first few statements?
Explain this : iphone by using activating server method and I succeed
iBrickr is not used to unlock, it is used to bypass activation which is what you mentioned before.
Piotr . . .
Thank you for the advice, i tried to do exactlly what you have told
deleting the old iphone updates files then starting a new fresh restore file via itunes but many error messages pop up preventing the download
these error messages were:
a connection time out
iphone restore server unable
unknown error -23
there was a problem downloading restore file unkown error -48
i was thinking maybe the method which I used to hack the activation affects the process of ibricker or unlock. as follows
you are right iBrickr is not used to unlock, it is used to bypass activation.
guys do i need to download 1.0.2 since mine is allready 1.0.2
whatever i used iBrickr it stoped at the extracing files screen along the way
please help me to come over this problem

ermm... I would try removing itunes completely and installing a fresh one. Do a search and dowload the 1.0.2 firmware and restore to 1.0.2 . Don't do a restore on your itune because chances are when you finish reading my statement, apple has deployed 1.1.1 I heard they are doing it as of now.
i allready tried this
I remove itunes start with fresh one but nothing changed
dear i allready have the file on my hard drive any advice how to restore it without itunes
thank in advance
if you have the restore file on your hard drive..
press HOME+SLEEP button until a yellow triangle shows up
connect your phone to itune
hold down shift and click restore if you are using a PC, hold down option and click restore for mac
Choose the restore file you have saved in your harddrive
If you still can't, try using other PC and do a restore might help.
I really do appreciate your sincere help
thanks a lot it works perfectly due to your advices and after double check the usb cabels and internet connection.
Thanks millions my dear LA20
