Mobilewatchdog
Hey does anyone know what the mobilewatchdog file is for? its lcoated in
File: /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/mobilewatchdog.bundle/mobilewatchdog
also i deleted the .baseband files in the /dev/ folder and restored no difference on the 04.xx version on the modem.
Does anyone know how the baseband files are stored in the phone? if we can take the baseband files from the 03.xx version and upload them to the new 04.xx version phones will it work?
I know its a lot of stupid question but ammuse me please..=)

MobileWatcxhdog is a program that must check things every 2 minutes or it reboots Springboard.
If IT isn't running 5 times, so 10 minutes, the phone hardware reboots.
MobileWatchdog is actually what is currently causing so many hung apple logo boot screens
Springboard gets slower as you add more apps. The watchdog timer of 2 minutes is not enough time to re-enumerate the springboard after adding apps, so Springboard gets killed and restarts. It does this up to 4 times, on the 5th the HARDWARE watchdog reboots the phone, causing the hung boot logo, usually at half brightness.
To fix it, so you do not have to restore, you need a jailbroken phone, and SSH into the phone, move the watchdog.bundle to /. REBOOT, then after it does get to the lock screen , move it back and reboot.
Problem fixed
(for now)
