Default MAC USERS...Easiest method to Unlock Virgin 1.1.1?

I have been so confused at the many ways you can unlock an iphone.

I have a 1.1.1 OTB iPhone that I just purchased and I use a Macbook pro.

I have seen the carlos method and it seems pretty simple until you start using PUTTY to fix the baseband.

I want to use new ANYSim 1.1 method via independance, but I cant seem to find a simple guide that gives you a step by step process similar to how carlos explained his process.

Which is the quickest and painless method to unlock your virgin 1.1.1 iphone for MAC users?

Download iNthependance and follow it's help guide (under Help menu).
Download AppInstaller and show it's conntent (it's .app file...right click on it and choose Show content and in Resources locate Installer file (actualli, it's also app file) which have a "generic" app icon with rec crossed circle on it). Remember where it is, or just copy it to desktop.
Download AnySIM 1.1 and do the same as you did for AppInstaller. You need AnySIM phone app file..put it on your desktop.

Then, when finished with iNdependance, and when phone is activated, run iNdep. again and go to Customize tab where you can add custom progs, ringtones and wallps to your phone. Copy those two apps from desktop (AnySIM and Installer) to User Applications folder and reboot your phone (hold Home and Power(Stand-by) button until you see red button with Power Off). Take a paperclip and stick it in the top hole on your iPhone, until you spring out the SIM card door. Change SIM cards..put in your regular card, and with the AT&T one..well..someone suggested framing it and hanging it on the wall

Now turn device on (just pres Power button)

You should see two new icons on your screen. Start AnySIM and follow the instructions.

After you SIM-unlocked it feel free to start Installer and install some more apps the easier way (you can start it prior SIM-unlocking the phone..it doesn't matter).

Voyager, your Post is one of the most useful I have read in the last days.
    Thank you a lot.

But one last question. Do I have to close the iTunes-Helper before I plug in the iPhone the first time?
