ok.. im a long time lurker but first time poster..


i have been looking into the volume issue that has been previously posted many times before and have been wondering what in the world is wrong w/ mine..


i had an OTB 1.0.2 .. unlocked it.. then virginize later on.. upgraded to 1.1.1 unlocked with anysim 1.1 .

w/ 1.0.2.. i had the upgraded volume (ivolume) and it was loud and great.. after i upgraded to 1.1.1 i lost this (which is normal).. BUT my friends have OTB 1.1.1 that is A LOT louder than mine.. mine is realliy really really quiet.. i have tried taking their plist / celestial files to replace on mine but still the same.. i have restored .. same thing..


now can anyone show me the right way to fix this.. first person that can help me through this.. i will gladly send $20 via paypal.. thanks ahead of time..

I have never done this, but i have seen a installer for volume. have u tried?

what do you mean by installer by volume.. if you are talking about ivolume on modmyifone.com / that one does not work on 1.1.1 / i have tried it numerous times..

I had exactly the same situation you have:

1.0.2 unlocked then virginize then updated to 1.1.1 and jailbroken with carnaval and unlocked with anysim 1.1.

At the end i had lowest volume than the one i had with 1.0.2, i tried restoring same issue.

What i did was that i forced the iphone into DFU mode and restore that way and that was it teh problem was solved.

Oh another thing is that the last time I used Carnaval version 0.3 and uploded Anysim manually using SSH.

wait.. so you forced your phone into DFU and then restored? that solved it? How weird... what does it restore exactly?..

i never had a problem with my volume, but i saw a app on installer. add http://iphone.surrealnetworks.com/repo to your sources. under surrealnetworks you will see a volume app. check it out or look on the forums to see if it works

I'm not sure whats the difference between manualy doing it with iTunes and forcing the iPhone into DFU mode but it solved.
