Locked iPhone after upgrading to 1.1.2 (jailbreakme.com doesn't work)
I have a iPhone that was accidentally upgraded to 1.1.2 from 1.1.1. Now, it is locked. SO i tried following the procedures and everything goes fine until I get to Jailbreakme.com
Once I press install AppSnapp it comes back to Activation Screen (as expected) and I wait like five minutes and still won't restart automatically. And finally I try to restart manually, it restarts but it is not Jailbroken.
I tried following the restoring and all that procedures about 5 times but still same problem.
ANY HELP IS REALLY APPRECIATED!

Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes, and then try the jailbreakme.com process. Worked for me, should work for you. Some other suggestions are:
- Try to do a hard reset on the iPhone and try again
- Make sure you have a strong wireless signal
- Try using http://www.jailbreakme.com instead of http://jailbreakme.com
- Disable wireless encryption on your network

You canīt jailbraek 1.1.2 with jailbreak.com
You have to install oktoprep in 1.1.1 an then update and the go to jailbreak the phone via jailbreak.jar wich you can search in the forum.....
pls see the sticky threats....

I'm assuming they have both downgraded to 1.1.1. If not, then do that first, then install AppSnapp through jailbreakme.com. Then you can also install oktoprep, uprgade to 1.1.2 and jailbreak again.

K dude, to make this very simple for you just do the following, I'm almost certain you'll suceed:
- Since your iPhone was originally 1.1.1, and now was acidentally upgraded and locked, restore 1.1.1 again on your iPhone. This can be done through iTunes. Make sure your phone is in DFU mode to restore it.
- Once you complete the restore, use iBrickr to boot your iPhone out of restore mode.
- Then at the emeregency call screen, follow the #*307 procedure to activate Wi-Fi and visit jailbreakme.com. Leave your iPhone connected to iTunes when visiting jailbreakme.com. The phone will restart and the springboard will show.
- At this point you can use AnySim to unlock it, or you can use "oktoprep" form installer to update to 1.1.2 and unlock.
Try that, I'm almost positive it'll work dude.

mine is OTB 1.1.2.. but have successfully downgraded it to 1.1.1, just stuck with activating the phone atm. i've been searching through and see some people have the same problem, but only true solution was to repeat the process and it will eventually work.. been repeating for the last 5 hours

This seems to be a common problem with http://jailbreakme.com when jailbreaking a 1.1.1 iPhone. I don't know what causes glitch but after several attempts I finally managed to jailbreak my iPhone. Do not repeat the whole process of downgrading just repeat the portion of jailbreaking via http://jailbreakme.com. You iPhone should restart in about 1min if it was successfully jailbreaked. If not, just keep on trying this portion.

I too got the same probelm.. then i downgraded the firmware to 1.0.2 then upgraded again to 1.1.1 now the jailbreak works as smooth as good. try it
