Kick iPhone out of recovery mode after (1015) Error
Hi,
did the downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.0.2 and now I´m upgrading to 1.1.1 again. After the 1.1.1 installation on iTunes i get the (1015) error and the iPhone stays stucked in recovery mode.
Independence 1.2.5 won´t kick it back... neither iBrickr 0.91. With iBrickr i got the green window instead of restarting. With Independence it just says "iPhone in recovery mode and nothing happens"
Anybody a clue? I feel I´m almost there... thanks in advance!

When you downgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.0.2, did downgrade the baseband as well? If not, your baseband will still be the 4.02 (the one that comes with 1.1.2), as there is no automatic way to downgrade the baseband, and you get the error because you can't downgrade 4.02 -> 4.01.
I would suggest going back to 1.0.2, downgrading the BB 3.14, and then upgrading your phone to 1.1.1

I had the same issues.
1. iNdependence takes up to 30 seconds to kick in
2. AppTapp can get it out of that mode also. however it game me issues when I downgraded from 1.1.2
also try to disconnect and reconnect before running iNdependence, without iTunes loaded
hope this helps.

Okay, I had the same problem in kicking out dfu mode, in my windows...
So, since the phone was already unlocked, and I just needed to go to 1.1.1 to install OktoPrep, I downgraded my phone back to 1.0.2 with ibrickr and then, after jailbreak + activate (no need to unlock again) I updated (hit update button) to 1.1.2. When it finished, I downgraded to 1.1.1 (you already done that, it works) and then jailbreakme.com, OktoPrep, upgrade, jailbreak and change lockdownd...
your ready to go

Ok, what I did, I ran iBrickr and got the green window, then let iTunes run the 1.1.1 again.
iPhone restarts, and i kick it out of recovery mode with iBrickr. This time it worked.
Thanks for the advice =)

I found out that after a first restore to 1.1.1 that ends in 1015, a second restore is needed to be able to get out of restore mode.
I use iPHUC to get out. Connect and get in Recovery mode and type
cmd setenv auto-boot true
cmd saveenv
cmd fsboot
It will reboot and be ready to run Jailbreakme.com

Hey... when you try to go to 1.1.1 you have 2 options, RESTORE or UPDATE
if you do an UPDATE you will stuck in DFU an never get out of that state, period
if you do a RESTORE you will be able to get out of DFU mode with any tool available
PD: this is valid when you want to go to 1.1.2 IPhone
Iphone 8Gb unlocked (3 of them, old versions all)
Thanks Dev(dream) team
