Im living in Ireland so i am looking to unlock it as soon as possible.
My phone has 1.1.1 firmware installed.
I have not activated it yet either.
I am running windows xp.

I am basically looking for advice on which steps to take next,

should i activate my phone and if so which way should i do it?

Is there a sim unlock out for my phone yet? I have read that the iphonesimfree
team say that they have a unlock for 1.1.1, can anyone confirm if this works with the newer iphones and not just with older ones that ungraded thier firmware?

i can confirm that the ipsf unlock does work, but i use Mac and only know how do the whole process on that, sorry

did you upgrade fw to 1.1.1 or have 1.1.1 out of the box?

The instructions can be found in page 1 of the thread.
I followed everything except i used Mobile Terminal so I will not need a wifi (instead of SSH. You can google to have the application)

I suggest
1.you print the instruction, read it away fr computer so u can focus.
2.familiarize yourself with the terms, applications and processes.
3.download all the files thru the link and know where the files are after you extract.
4.READ. its ur only friend.^-^

Thats just it i'll pay for it no problem, but i am yet to find anywhere that can give
me step by step out of the box instructions.
I still dont even know if i can dock my iphone just to charge it!!
