Jailed/UNactivated 1.1.2, BB = 04.02.13_G, iTunes 7.6, OSX 10.5.2.

What is the way forward from here ? I cant update to 1.1.3 until its activated right ?
Is there a way for me to activate without downgrading at this point in time ?

Ive downloaded 1.1.3 several times but iTunes wont allow me to alt/restore to it (or normal restore, says its corrupt)

Corrupt? Never heard of ituns saying that before

Ziphone should work on 1.1.2, not just 1.1.3.

Ive been downloading the 1.1.3 firmware with Speed Download (as my terrible connection causes the download to fail when downloading directly in iTunes).
The file finishes with correct file size and no errors.

Alt/restore and pointing to the 1.1.3 .ipsw is GREYED OUT (ie iTunes wont accept it)

Now I will try to obtain 1.1.3 and update/Ziphone or iJailbreak (again)

I had the dreaded 1604 errors for DAYS until some voodoo combination of reinstalling iTunes/rebooting/alt restoring to 1.1.2 eventually worked.

If i was you, i would Restore (not UPDATE!) to 1.1.3 from itunes, and after that use ZiphoneGUI
First jailbreak and activate, update you installer, install BSD subsystem and openssh. Next run ZiphoneGUI again, this time to unlock.

Seems one day Im getting 2-20k/s from Apple downloads, next day it's full whack 550k/s. They must be getting pounded at the moment by people up/downgrading, and having to get all the firmware versions.

Out of curiosity I opened latest beta of Independance and it reports the phone as JAILED, despite me ticking the jailbreak box in ZiPhone. This may be incorrect, I dont actually have time to try to jailbreak/install apps at this time (Ive lost days in 1604 errors) and need to leave the house for some air !

Think Ill just go for 1.1.3 when I can get a copy of the ipsw which iTunes will accept.

I left the house for the day to discover that I couldnt enter the SMS app, nor access recent calls list, both crashed back to "desktop". On incoming calls all I saw was the spinning dial, no ringtone, unable to answer. Calls out ok.
Installer app was still there and functioning. Not an ideal restore/update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, and Im still unable to get up to 1.1.3 for reasons stated above.

With regards to the 1.1.3.ipsw Id been re-downloading, anyone know why Speed Download might corrupt the archive ? Or perhaps, I dread to think, the link to the firmware/restore file is to an already corrupt image ? (link from iphone.unlock.no).
Although I seriously doubt that, so dont flame me, just a remote possibility.
