Default [Jailbreak] iPlus and Ziphone, do they downgrade the BootLoader ?

I would like to know this, can any of you answer it for me, i searched everywhere, i hope, anyway my question is this.
If you just Jailbreak your phone, i mean Jailbreak only, not activate, do you downgrade your boot loader?
In Ziphone it is like this below, but if you want to do it in Iplus2, is the command -j? (iplus2\iplus -j
All i want is the installer app. Thanks for your help!

I am on windows xp sp2, would imagine it is the same. As i have a valid AT&T contract, this is why i just want to Jaibreak the phone only.
I am still curious if just Jailbreaking does anything to your bootloader?

jailbreaking does not affect the bootloader, if your are going to use ziphone i suggest unchecking everything accept jailbreak if you have the 4.6bl and are on att

it dosnet really matter if your just jailbreaking, you might as well use ziphone since you have it up , make sure to UNCHECK EVERYTHING EXCEPPT jailbreak and activate, remember JUST USE those two functions

No i do not want to activate, i want to activate through itunes... Just Jailbreak, if i click activate too i will have to call AT&T to activate the phone, instead of doing it through itunes. remember i am going to use AT&T.. If i click activate as well as jailbreak i will lose the option to activate via itunes..

If you do not use the payload how will the installer app be installed, i see it in the payload.zip file... I am aware that you can install it without the payload like this.. iplus2.0\iplus that is the command without a payload.
But if i use the payload and install with the -j it should just JB the phone and install the installer app, correct? iplus2.0\iplus -j
