These have generally worked fine and I'm very grateful for the work of many people on this forum. However, for the last few days, I'm having the same problems repeatedly...

For the initial 1.1.1 jailbreak (after restoring to 1.1.1 and running iBrickr) I always have to use jailbreak.toc2rta.com before using jailbreakme.com. This is not a major problem.

The main problem is that I run OktoPrep (from Tweaks 1.1.1 in the Installer), before UPDATING to 1.1.2, which is the normal procedure. But when I then run Jailbreak.jar (via Windows.bat, and yes, I do tick Install SSH), the minute it connects to the iPhone, it says that I need to run OktoPrep before updating to 1.1.2 for the jailbreak to work. But I have run OktoPrep... Does anyone know why OktoPrep is not being recognised. I've been over the procedure, and I'm not doing anything different, and I can't see what I'm doing to wipe out the OktoPrep...

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, as I'm losing sleep over this, and my wife is losing her patience!!!... :p

Restore 1.1.1 in DFU mode . Cause by using jailbreak.toc2rta and then the jailbreakme , I am sure your space is 300 mb . You should have the 300 mb bug if I am not wrong . Just use jailbreakme and open another window in the safari and you will be fine.

X_Slinger - forgive my noobism, but how do I restore 1.1.1 in DFU mode?...

If I remember right , there is no DFU mode in 1.1.2 , so first you restore back to 1.1.1 . Then you check if your memory space is 7.3gb , if its not ,

1) Off the phone
2)turn on the phone (press the black button at the top)
3) hold both the button till the apple logo disappears . Then wait for about 2 secs then release the black button at the top of the phone but still holding the home button .
4) go to itunes then shift restore to 1.1.1 .

Did u install BSD Subsystem before install oktopre? Otherwise it won't work

Sorry but , you do not need bsd subsystem at all for oktoprep.

Well, look, here's what I'm doing...

(all Windows XP based)

For Debricks...
I'm shift-restoring to 1.1.1 on iTunes - close iTunes, then end iTunesHelperProcess in task manager
Use iBrickr, then power off handset
Power-on phone, *#307# etc, prefs:, jailbreakme,com etc
Jailbreaking 1.1.1 (having to use the secondary jailbreak.toc2rta.com link on almost all phones for a succesful jailbreak here)
once jailbroken, I install BDH Subsystem, then Open SSH...
Open WinSCP to transfer anysim.app
Run anySIM
Install Oktoprep from Tweaks 1.1.1
Connect to iTunes and UPDATING to 1.1.2
Close iTunes and run Window.bat to trigger jailblreak.jar
Click Install SSH, but once I click Jailbreak, I get an error saying you need to run Oktoprep before updating to 1.1.2

What I bold is where you went wrong .NEVER use toc2rta and jailbreakme , that is what is causing the problem. Anyways you do not need bsd subsystem for oktoprep.

As I said . You open a jailbreakme page , then you open another page , example yahoo.com .

Now go back to the jailbreakme page and press the install appsnap , then quickly go to the yahoo page which you have already load . Now wait and the safari should crash. Now just go to the dial keypad and wala.

I have the same problem so I tried the solution with the second safari page.
But when I press the install appsnap I don't succeed to return to the second page...
It's only a matter of speedness or there is something else?

I had this happen to me two nights ago and it took me hours to fix. Unfortunately I wasnt able to fix it using my MBP. What I did to get it to work was use Windows via Bootcamp, installed Java and ran jailbreak.jar on the Windows machine. It worked flawlessly. Thank God for intel macs in my case. There's probably an easier way but that worked for me.
