    Default [iTunes] Freezes with iPhone

I just can't seem to get my iTunes working right with the iPhone, can anyone help? I Google'd this problem and see that others have had it, but without showing any solution. The extent I tried to fix it is I went through a format and reinstalled everything (took almost the whole day). It worked fine, sync'ed everything, and then iTunes started freezing again. The basic problem is when I connect the iPhone, a meter on iTunes shows up that says "Waiting for iPhone" and 15 seconds later, it freezes completely.

To note: I am on a 1.1.2 OTB iPhone and have tried iTunes 7.5, then 7.4 with the same problem.

Looks like the problem is with the computer, not the iPhone. Are you using Windows or Mac?

Try using a different USB port.

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.

Thanks for the help, but I still can't fix this problem. I tried everyone's suggestions, and even ran through a few pages in the Apple Forum Discussions and didn't find it. It seems like a common problem, yet I can't put my finger on it:

    I have tried...
    - installing .net framework 1.1, 1.1 hotfix, 2.0, 3.0
    - disabling internet
    - reinstalling different versions of iTunes / formatting computer
    - re-jailbreaking iPhone 1.1.2 OTB

For a quick recap, everytime I plug in my iPhone, My Computer detects it allowing me to view images on it. iTunes opens up and says "waiting for iPhone" and as the meter starts going, it will freeze. Also, if I open up iTunes / Preferences / iPhone, without the iPhone plugged in, it will freeze.

ANY help would be appreciated, I'm dying over here!

Thanks, that was a good idea but removing "Apple Mobile Device Support" disabled any support for the iPhone, and removing "Apple Updater" didn't have any effect. Is there possibly any other solution out there?

Try a program can erase the all register about apple or itunes.

Or try this, install itunes 7.4 and the unisntall all the components, reboot your computer and try itunes 7.6.
