I hacked successfully my iphone 2 weeks ago.
But sunday my iPhone was on the dock and my brother updated iTunes to 7.5 and the firmware to 1.1.2 #@#§.....!!!!
I tried to downgrade the firmware, restoring the iphone (with iTunes 7.4) but the process fail.

I used instructions:

but I got an error in Step 10:
after I type in the console of WinSCP:
mv /var/root/Media /var/root/Media.old andt then: ln -s / /var/root/Media

I go back to iTunes and update FW to 1.1.1 (1.1.1 I downloaded earlier).

Various status bars appear but at the end of the FirmWare update process iTunes give the Error (1013)!!

iPhone screen show a white background and the iTunes logo with the plug (connect to iTunes) and
I can't reboot the iphone in order to procede with continue to Step 11 (iphuc-jailbreak.exe , etc etc.)

Can you suggest me something to do?

Is it normal when you are downgrading the iphone..

close itunes and launch apptap, it will fails is it normal then launched itunes again wait that the phone is detected then launch again apptap this time it will success.

... use iNdependence instead of AppTapp: it taked much less time..

just plug the phone, close iTunes and launch iNdependece. It does it automagically...

iNdependence for Windows XP.... exists?
