    Default iTunes 7.6.1 problems

    Dear All,

    I have a problem with iTunes 7.6.1.

My iTunes doesn't seem to see my iPhone. It crashes everytime I plug my iPhone. It says:

Faulting application applemobiledevicehelper.exe, version 7.6.332.0, faulting module corefoundation.dll, version 7.6.440.48, fault address 0x0007fd05.

    Do you know why?

I don't want to uninstall the iTunes as I have my iPhone back-up on it.

    Can you help??

    THank you!

Try geting those files off from another install of 7.6.1 so if you have a second computer find applemobiledevicehelper.exe, and corefoundation.dll.

Put those 2 files in the correct folders and try again.. if not the itunes has a backup folder where your iphone information is kept i forgot the folder it is in a post on this fourm.. just rename that folder and then copy it over again once you have installed your itunes...

My advice is to unistal 7.6.1 an reinstal 7.6 .... Do not forget to wipe Apple and AppleComputers in your user name folders ....

That actually is the best way.. the only reason I recommended the other way is so he doesn't lose his backup... i know its somewhere in the documents and settings folder... find it and back it up and exactly like yuhckman said install 7.6

Should try to use 3rd party iPhonePCSuite, use backup function (Contacts,SMS,Calldata,Wallpapers,CustomRingtones, iBooks ....), then unistall 7.6.1 (anyway his contacts are synced with outlook/windows mail .... ) wipe Apple and Aplle Computers Directories in User Folders: Drive:/Documents and Settings/All Users and /Yourname in same folder on XP or Drive:/Users/All Users and /yourname in Vista .... and reinstall 7.6
