    Default iPlus 2.0b vs. iLiberty+

I want to unlock an OTB 16GB 1.1.4 iphone and am trying to figure out if I should use iPlus or iLiberty+.

iLiberty+ is the newest obviously, but iPlus seems to have the most positive feedback in the forums.

    Any advice?

iLiberty+ IS iPlus with a user interface. So if you rather click on a button instead of typing in the command line, use iLiberty+.

I'm not sure danster that your reply goes into enough depth of why use one version over another.

I've been a regular on this board since last summer and find it amazing that so many people seem to 'take the plunge' without really thinking things through when it comes to jailbreaking/unlocking their little expensive piece of kit.

Just look at the amount of people who are now struggling with ziphone! I used the first version which didn't screw with your baseband and thought it was ok but didn't think it was as good as geohot's version, even though it was easier as regards the end user.

As soon as it started downgrading the baseband to the standard 3.9 then I kept away from away from it and how many others I wonder must wish that they'd have waited for the new Dev Team/Geohot release that we now have?

To answer Speks question, I would say if you are comfortable to go with iPlus, then go with that option for now. It is really easy, works a treat (I've done a dozen iphones so far with it) and seems pretty much bullet proof as far as I'm concerned.

iLiberty seems very good in what it offers but just seems a little too buggy at the moment. Give it a few weeks and it'll be perfect though, I'm sure.

    Hope that helps you.

i prefer to use iplus2.0b in jailbreak/activate/unlock then patching on iliberty+
i think some problem with bootstrap w/c use by aviegas not by george on +
i encountered connection problem w/ iliberty+ to sum it all iplus2.0b works
flawlessly than george iliberty+ does it need bootstrap by zibri?

    Thanks for all the help.
I ended up using iplus 2.0b and everything worked perfectly on the first try.
I would highly recommend it to anyone else in the same dilemma.
    Thanks again!
