Default Iphone totally bricked!! does not turn on

the problems started when the iphone was plugged into some sort of an accessory that was ment for the ipod (not sure which acces.)

then wifi, bluetooth became not stable, the phone would freeze.

so i took the iphone ... tried to get to settings just to check the version and the phone freezes, so i restarted hooked it up to my mbp, itunes started ... as soon i clicked restart the phone started rebooting itself... trying to get it out of this loop i put in DFU mode, then i tried restoring to 1.1.3 (note that my itunes was 7.4) at the end it showed an error, i think it was 6, so i thought ok maybe i need to update my itunes ... so i did (to 7.6.1 latest) at this point the phone would not turn on... how ever it would go to DFU mode but thats about it ... itunes won't recognize it otherwise. all tries to restore to 1.1.1, 1.0.2, 1.1.2, and 1.1.3 have failed ... errors i got range from 5, 2, 2005 and others.

the phone's screen is off, if you press the sleep/power for too long nothing happens(unless its plugged then it sometimes goes to dfu), home nothing happens, once in dfu and restoring you can see the apple and the circle but once done (with an error ofcourse) then screen shuts off ...

plugging the phone to the PC comes with a usb device not recognized,

What do u guys suggest ... is this iphone recoverable, have you guys had a problem like this... what caused it ... was it solved?

if i had to take this to apple ... would i be able to get it replaced (considering no att account)? how would i convince them to change it? did anybody manage to do this?

    thanks

    What i would say is..

if a 1.1.3 DFU restore does not work, you are in trouble. Try it on several computers, MAC and PC, redownload firmware files to make sure they arent corrupt. If these two steps dont work call apple.

The way I got one of my phones fixed was to say (if you have never had a valid AT&T contract with the phone) first, tell them that you got the phone as a gift, thus explaining why you havent used it since it was purchased, then say you opened the box and when you plugged in the phone it said it needed to be restored, so you clicked the restore button and there was an error, and now the phone wont turn on. This worked like a charm for me, as I told them i hadn't activated my phone yet, so I didn't have a number\service plan\etc.. the replacement will take about 4 days total (shipping and all) its really quick.. let us know how it turns out, good luck.

    I would try the following:

    First:
use ziphone command line, and just go ./ziphone -a -j (Use version 1.0) then it should go to home screen, if not use ziphone 2.4 and ./ziphone -v, your phone should go through a bunch of crap and just turn on normally.

    If that fails then:
use a command line 2.4 ziphone, and ./Ziphone -E, after that, ./Ziphone -D, then do a restore on any firmware, it should clean out everything.

REMEMBER phone MUST be in recovery mode when connecting to Ziphone, do this by, turning the phone off (Home + Power), once the screen turns off, immediately release the buttons. THen hold HOME and plug in via USB then run ziphone commands.

IF none of the above restored your phone to a usable state, then its a hardware problem. I had a friend who plugged his iphone into an iPod accessory (speaker), his phone just died. I think the pin out on the iphone and ipod are a bit different, thus shorting out the iphone. Hope I've helped a little.
