I have been using 1.02 with Ibricker to add a variety of apps but nothing has been changed in sometime and everything has been working great.

Christmas eve I took my phone out of my pocket only to find it on a white apple logo on black background. I've tried rebooting it and so far I have been unable to get it to boot to the springboard.

I am able to connect it to Itunes and transfer files and change files using Ibrickr but no matter what I do the phone will not boot past the white apple logo.

I am simply stumped and do not want to have to do a restore unless absolutely nesseary as I have numerous settings/contacts/files I would be loosing.

Anyone have any ideas?

I m gonna state the obvious,but thats what comes to mind.
Since u can sync with itunes,no contacts/sms will be lost.Wifi/ibrick working fine?If yes u can also get the files u re mentioning.
So a restore and some of your time to put those settings/apps back,sounds a good deal for a fully working iphone

I rarely use ITunes and have none of my info backed up (PC guy). Would someone be so kind as to let me know how to get my contacts and other info backed up?

Ok I see ITunes backs up everything when I sync.

It appears I can do a restore but won't that take me to version 1.12? I really haven't paid attention to the latest in unlocking but I think this is going to cause a lot of problems for me

Do NOT update!
Download the 1.0.2 image.Then go to itunes,hold shift and navigate to the folder u downloaded the 1.0.2 image and restore from there.Offcourse u ll do the jailbreak,unlock thing again.

I caught that before I did anything, thanks Luckily I was planning on waiting till today to do anything major and I let the battery die out over night and after charging it a bit it finally booted out of the apple logo. At least i'll know what to do if the problem keeps occuring though. Thanks.
