I think I may be in a predicament. Anyways, I used to have 1.02 and unlocked it with IUnlock --- Recently, I decided on upgrading to 1.1.1 using the independence method found somewhere on here - I was successfully able to upgrade to 1.1.1 but now cannot use the device as a phone - everything else works fine and as expected, except that I cannot Unlock the phone...

With that being said, I know I can downgrade to 1.02, but when I try unlocking it unlocks with anysim1.1.1 it does not let me put in my sim card --- It will not allow me to place/receive calls but everything else works on the phone...

Will this "revirginizer" that appeared on the forum here help me solve these issues? If so, I noticed there are lots of steps and I can probably do it, but will there be a simpler method in the future? I have both intel macs and a pc so either platform will work for me. I just would like to get this fixed ASAP so i can begin using my phone again! lol...

I have done the revirginizing process and upgraded to 1.1.1 and everything is working great! However, I didn't install anysim 1.1 to unlock yet my phone was fully operational after the upgrade. I was using unlocked 1.02 by anysim 1.02.

I used the windows method of upgrading my iphone.

Should I re-install the new version of anysim 1.1? or is my iphone unlocked and the band is fixed because I virginized my iphone?

Please advise, should I install anysim 1.1 on my unlocked iphone v.1.1.1? If I used a different sim while I am in a different country, will it work without re-unlocking and activation? Note: I have applied the multi-swap sim 1.1.1 activation patch.

I was able to take my bricked 1.02--> 1.1.1 back to virgin 1.02 including baseband. Here's the thread with step by step instructions I used:

credit to the original authors: I clipped 2 methods together and it worked.

Does that re-virginize 1.1.1 out of box that have been downgraded to 1.02 and desimlock with anysim. How to put them back to their original state and then activation/unlock and dsimlock with iNdependence and Anysim new versions ?

WHen I run ieraser i get a "Bus error" after it says waiting for data....

What does this mean?

I bet you forgot to rename secpack40113.bin to secpack. The error occurs when ieraser can't find the secpack file.
