    I have exactly the same problem with a 1.0.2 unlocked iphone after upgrading to 1.1.1

    I tried almost every solution I can find (downgrade, erasing bb, flashing bb, revirginizing bb etc.) but the NO SIM error still exists. The IMEI stays intact with all operations.

    The phone still doesn't recognize any SIM neither the ATT nor any other.
    A hardware failure can be excluded because the phone was working fine before upgrading.

    Any help with this problem will be highly appriciated.

    I have the same problem, and the only sim that the iphone allows is the one i use during the virginizing process. I think that somehow our seczone is damage and is not complete reflash with the virginizer.

    Anybody have some information about this?

    Thanks.

    i tried reflashing the seczone with both the virginator. sh through terminal and a application in installer to virginize. Nothing works.. something is missing.
    Now my phone in about me is 1.0.2, modem firmware-3.14.08_G i am not even of thinking of flashing 1.1.1 again as it requires to dial *#307# to jailbreak which can't be done unless iPhone detects a SIM..

    @aakash

    Even if you are not able to do the 307 jailbreak you can use the symlink method (e.g. with iDemocracy) for jailbreak 1.1.1 without sim.

    My phone with the NO SIM failure is now on FW 1.1.1 and BB 04.01.13, jailbroken and activated. I've also tried to revirginize the BB 4 but NO SIM still remains.

    What if no sim was inserted during virginizing? I'm not sure which was inserted, but I tried all sim's and none was recognized.

    @imobile

    I insert different sims and somehow the sim that i use since the beginning works. Is the one i use to unlock the iphone for first time. But, if you did not put any sim when doing the virginizing i think that i wont allow any sim till you can really "virginize" the iphone. I open the iphone to find if something goes broken but i find that everthing is okey so is a software problem. That what i think.
    Also, i read that if we use IPSF there is a possibility that our problem is fix but i didnot test yet.

    Well, somebody will figured out how to erase completely the modem firware and fully install it.

    I have now 3 devices with unknown ICCID, all have firmware - 1.0.2, modem firmware- 03.14.08_G now. One of them had unknown imei, no wfi,bluetooth, asking for repairs. I upgraded it to 1.1.2 got IMEI, wifi back, 1.1.2->1.1.1->1.0.2 then baseband to 03.14.08_G using 1.1.2 secpack but still unknown ICCID.
    Some solution has to be found out for this as newer firmwares roll out, more people will have these problems, Also there will be diff bootloaders as and as iPhone releases in EU
