The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An Unknown error occured (1).
I have a 1.1.2 OTB phone and would like to set it back to factory, as I upgraded it to 1.1.3. However I get the error as in the title: The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An Unknown error occured (1).
This happens when I try and restore it to 1.1.1
I've tried this with iTunes 7.4.3, 7.5, 7.6 all giving the same result?
I get similar results trying to restore to 1.1.2
I would like to go back to 1.1.2 and not use 1.1.3
Any help would be much appreciated

try putting it into dfu mode, and running Ibrickr, press downgrade to 1.0.2 (on ibrickr) and it will put it in this special dfu mode, now try on itunes shift+restore and press on the 1.1.2 firmware

Hey, thanks for the reply ... When I pick downgrade, to 1.02, it wants to download 1.02 ... does that mean it's going to downgrade to 1.02??

I think it actually does download 1.0.2 but there's probably a way to cancel it
