Default Iphone Dead! Wont Turn On/White Screen, Restore Fails

Hi all, I have unlocked and sold about 10 iphones and not had a problem, But a customer reported of a problem where he pluged the iphone into his mac and No Service would come up when it was synced with itunes, also an error cam up and reported that the pjone needs fixing, to get back on his carrier he would have to reset the phone

I went to replace it and it wouldnt even turn on, something is definatly up with it,

Through random pressing/holding i managed to get it into restore mode, but te screen sometimes just came up as White, i could start a restore to 1.0.2 through itunes but it always failed at the end (during this process the screen would sometimes change to the apple logo and the loading/spinning bar thing) I would get an error 6 and ad 1 more i have forgotten

The phone was unlocked with the first graphic GUI unlocker (the one that takes 20mins) using te modmyiphone guide

Any ideas as how I can get this baby back up and running?

    Thanks in advance

Did you restore by using the DFU mode ? Switch off, press home + power for 10secs and before the apple logo is displayed, release the power button but still hold the home, start iTunes and select shift (option for MAC) + restore and choose the 1.02 package...do not forget to release the home button once you see that iTunes is preparing the restore

There is a difference in the way the system is restored when using the above mentioned method or the "press and hold both until yellow triangle...".

With this DFU mode restore, I was able to workaround all iTunes error messages. Even iTunes raised errors at the end, it simply worked after jailbreaking with wInstaller or iPhuc.

But it's also described here: http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/ind...1.1.1_to_1.0.2

since it's totally fubar, i'd take it back to apple and just make up some story how it started doing it after you sync'ed with itunes.

Dammit im not in the states so cant take it back,

    further progress..
I now have it in restore mode but the screen is completely white, if i click restore (using 1.0.2) then the phone repowers and The apple Logo appears during the restore so the screen is actually working, but then the restore fails and the phone goes back to the white screen
